61 reviews for Olav Aaen’s Clutch Tuning Handbook, Racine: Aaen Performance, 3.1/5 DJ Seigars Sep 21, 2016 Rating: 5 Nice book. Not as general as I had hoped. It’s a little off-the-cuff. A few examples are missing. Olav Aaen May 28, 2016 Rating: 5 This book gives a good tutorial and insight into how a real manual transmission works. Brodie Richards Mar 14, 2016 Rating: 5 Amazing book with an awesome author. RKM CLUTCHING Book May 18, 2015 Rating: 5 I have a few comments, if anyone cares: -The clutch parts are highly simplified, but realistically. Hinge pin, puller, and friction plate. The clutch plates actually don’t move, they just turn on the clutch-damper plate. -The part of the clutch disc that is grooved is just a flat section of the disc. -The clutch disc is always required to have internal spring pressure. You wouldn’t want to operate it without that. -Oil is required in the clutch disc. Maybe someone can revise the manual to add a table of required oil flow, based on clutch disc height and size. -A brief description of the “weaving” function is left out. -There is no reference to fluid viscosity at any stage of the book. -Gears are not a function of clutch pull, but rather clutch release. The manual lists the 2 position on the 4 position transmission gearset. -The manual omits information on how and why clutches are used in manual transmissions. From the diagrams it seems that the lever in the manual is connected to the rear wheel axle and creates torque. Leo Seigars Jul 15, 2013 Rating: 3 The Clutch Tuning Handbook by Olav Aaen (Edited by R Anderson) was the very first book that I read about Clutch Tuning. I just purchased a used 79 318 auto with both manual and clutch for not much money and decided to restore and bring it back to it’s original spec. I read the Clutch Tuning Handbook last night and it was very helpful. It was very clear with the examples. But it is missing the problem and how to fix it. I know

The music playing art is replete with patent art showing instruments with electronic sound generating means. Some of the prior art shows electronic instrument casings and the like. Electronic instrument switches are also known in the prior art. My U.S. Pat. No. 4,609,133 describes an electronic keyboard instrument. The switch assembly for the keyboard includes a key bottom plate with elastically deformable key tops and an associated contact plate. In such a switch, a depression of a key forms a closed circuit with a contact plate. Thus, when a key is depressed, the depression causes a signal to be transmitted to the playing device. Another of my musical keyboard switches is described in U.S. Pat. No. 4,365,225. This keyboard switch employs a switch contact plate having a felt top and a contact blade with an integral notch. The switch contact plate is located in a key cap. The contact blade is spring loaded and is forced into a key depression when the key cap is depressed. A depression of a key causes the contact blade to be inserted into the notch to form a closed circuit with the keyboard contacts. A few of the prior art keyboards include swivel switch parts 6d1f23a050
